Services

I offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adult clients. CBT is the most researched form of therapy. It assumes that mental health problems persist because of thoughts and behaviors that are workable in the short term but harmful in the long term.
I guide you in developing helpful thoughts and behaviors and applying them in everyday life. To this end, I also use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which promotes living a life guided by mindfulness and personal values. This way, you may gradually overcome your mental health problem.
My work is characterized by empathy, acceptance, and genuineness. It is always grounded in the latest scientific research.
Procedure #
First, we meet for an initial consultation, in which I get to know you, provide my first assessment, and discuss possible next steps with you. You are not obligated to commit to further sessions at any point.
This is followed by two or more diagnostic sessions. I gather information to establish a diagnosis and provide you with comprehensive feedback. Meanwhile, you can see whether you feel comfortable in our sessions and would like to continue with therapy.
If psychotherapy seems promising, I will outline concrete steps we can take to improve your situation. This allows you to make an informed decision about whether to proceed with treatment.
